Summary

I design emails for direct marketing on various platforms. For travel marketing in Australia (as part of the Magellan Group), I have designed hundreds of emails on their Genesys Magellan Platform. For clients outside of travel, I have designed email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp. Mailchimp has amazing integration and re-targeting features and is the preferred platform for email management and marketing. Within these platforms I have set up segmentations for specific targeted email marketing, which has a higher conversion rate. I will be able to design your emails, or I am willing to schedule mentoring lessons if you need help doing this by yourself.

Email Marketing

This specific email was designed to inspire clients to travel to the South Pacific Islands. Most people know about Fiji, but perhaps not about all the other wonderful islands in the SouthPacific. I have included a video link for each island, so that people can take a virtual journey before they decide to book.

Intro text: We are all currently dreaming of our next holiday destination and the question one everyone’s lips is “where will I go on my first trip”? We have been hearing oftravel bubbles that may come into play for the islands, so we wanted to share some information on a few understated island destinations in the South Pacific.We all know and love Fiji, but while the postcards might look similar, Fiji and some of the islands are not interchangeable or even much alike when it comes to landscapes and culture.

As you move east across the Pacific from the Solomon Islands to Easter Island, the flora andfauna become less diverse. Underwater you'll find more soft corals in the plankton-rich waters to the west but better visibility in the greater reaches of open water to the east.

South Pacific islands are culturally and geographically divided into Polynesia (from the Greek meaning 'many islands') and Melanesia (meaning 'black islands'). Polynesian islands include Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, French Polynesia, and Easter Island while Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands are Melanesian. The colonial history of the islands has resulted in a modern-day patchwork ofEnglish and French speaking island groups (plus Spanish in the far easternEaster Island).

1. Re-sizing and editing images in Adobe Photoshop.

2. Content sourcing from travel and tourism site.

3. Content writing.

4. Design the layout of the email in the Genesys/Magellan email design system

5. Proof and edit the email if required.

6. Send out the email to the where2travel database.

7. Distribute enquiries.

8. Follow up on enquiries.
